GUN SAFETY
If you own a firearm then you have a responsibilty to handle and store it safely

Know the Golden Rules and always comply with them
Always point the firearm in a safe direction
Treat all firearms as loaded, don't take someone's word for it if they hand you a firearm, check for yourself
Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot
Know the state of your firearm at all times when you are carrying it
When a gun is not on you it should be locked in a safe

Children and Firearms
If you own a firearm you need to talk to your children about gun safety. Keeping secrets is likely to increase their curiosity. Explain some basic rules to them and ensure that they can repeat them to you.
If you come across a gun do not touch it and tell other kids not to touch it either.
Leave it as you find it and call an adult or security gaurd.
