Preventing Rape & Violence

The appallingly high levels of rape and violence in South Africa need to be addressed through actions that will make an immediate difference. The campaigns have been highly successful in drawing attention to an important issue. But training woman on how to recognise and avoid violence and potentially violent partners is what will really make a difference.

The Health Society's Course on "What Every Women Needs to Know about Rape and Violence" is based on the work of leading international violence experts and equips woman with the basic skills required to survive in what has become one of the most hostile environments in the world outside of a war zone.
